Weekend Wrap Up

What a busy weekend I had, but for the most part it was great!

Friday, I had been looking forward to going to the beach all day and I let my expectations outweigh reality :)   When we got to the beach it was high tide (no problem), but the wind was awful! It blew our chairs everywhere and sand in our faces. The current in the water was so strong it was pulling us and almost knocking the hubs and I over. So we did not even stay 30 minutes!

Saturday I treated myself to a pedicure and had a relaxing afternoon at home while the hubs had a guys day out. In the evening  I walked two miles and ate a lovely grilled chicken cesar salad from Panera Bread...

This morning, I woke up feeling a little sore, but decided to get off my seat and on my feet! I walked 5 miles this morning and my hubs and I mowed the grass afterwards. It felt good.

I have walked a total of 17 miles this week, getting  ready to hit my goal of walking 20 miles this month. I hope to accomplish that by Wednesday. Thursday I am having a tooth pulled which means no exercise for a couple of days and not eating what I want to be able to eat, but hopefully, I will be able to bounce right back!

Tomorrow is weigh in and I am highly excited since I feel like I have done really well this week, especially this weekend, where normally I eat more than i should on the weekends.

I am getting ready to watch Real Steele with the hubs and enjoy a quiet evening.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

10 Miles Down

Today I totaled up 10 miles of walking this week for a total of 148 minutes. My tv was not availalbe to walk to my Leslie dvd's so outside I went and hit the pavement. It was hot at 85 degrees and tons of humidty, but I sweated through it and walked the length of my street, which is two miles.

Tomorrow is going to be the fun exercise day. I have a awesome administration job that i have been at on a private island for 11 years now. The lovely fact of that is about 1/2 mile from my office is the glorious beach!  I go in to work at 7am, so i am off at 3:30pm and my hubs is planning on meeting me afterwards and we are going to walk the beach and swim in the ocean.  I love summer and I especially love the beach! I will be sure to post pictures!

Have a great night everyone!

You Can Do It, Put Your Back Into It!

I love walking. It makes me feel good.  Our feet were made to keep moving and that is my goal.

Yesterday I didn't exercise because I had a serious headache that showed up on Monday.  I barely made it through 3 miles of walking on Monday and knew that I wouldn't be able to do it again (thanks to the office cleaners, cleaning out the air vents).

Today I was feeling great and was ready to come home and walk!  The storm clouds were following all the way home and I live in the country where the slightest wind knocks the power out! I ran in to the house, changed my clothes, and turned on my Leslie Sansone  Walk Slim, 5 Really Big Miles, dvd and planned to keep going until the power went out. Lucky for me, it stayed on, and I walked 5 miles.

I was sweaty, out of breath, and red faced (I get so red faced!!), but I felt that it was a accomplishment. I FELT GOOD.

What exercise or workouts do you do that leave you feeling good?

Happy Monday

Good Evening Everyone!

Monday's for me are my weighin's. I must say that I was a little disappointed to have gained 5 lbs in two weeks. No smoking really does have a affect on your metabolism. But nonetheless, I got my weigh in out of the way. I am 265 lbs. 7 lbs away from the heaviest i have ever been.
;
So I have my focus on eating healthy and exercising. Trying my best to make the right decisions but if I don't not guilt tripping myself over them.  I woke up with a plan and I stuck to it.  Sticking to plans really make me feel good. Sometimes I have to learn that plans to always work, but instead of giving up on the plan, rearrange it to make it work for you. Sometimes excuses get to be too much.

Today, I had every intention of coming home to exercise and start cooking dinner by 5pm. Instead, I ended up having to stop at the store and make my Monday trip to the chiropractor.  Normally that throws things off, since it was not in the plan, but not today.  I was home by five and popped in my 3 mile Leslie Sansone DVD and walked away my waistline! Dinner was done by 6:30 and no on fussed because they might have been hungry.

Plans are great to have. Plans lead to goals, expectations, and at the end: achievements.

What are your plans with your life? What would you like to achieve?   In the next few weeks, I will be adding my goals, expectations, and achievements on here so you can see what I have in mind.

Happy Monday Night Everyone!

The night before...

I am staring a diet tomorrow with Weight Watchers Online. I was dieting earlier in the year and lost 25lbs but stopped smoking and have just about gained all of that back. So i have given myself a month to stay off of the nonsmoking wagon and since I have masterd that task, I start back on the diet.

So here's to tomorrow, for starting out on the right foot, saying adios to my mountain dews and hostess cupcakes and sticking to water and bananas.

I will check back tomorrow night and give you a status update. For all of you starting on a diet tomorrow. I wish you the best!
